Get ready to kick of the holiday season with a magical evening on beautiful hope Street! The 5th Annual Winter Stroll returns on Thursday, December 5th from 4 to 8pm, and it promises a night of holiday cheer, family fun, food, shopping, music and so much more. Head over to Hope Street north of Rochambeau Ave, for this free event, and be sure to bring the family. The street will be closed to traffic, making way for pedestrians, strollers, street performers and merry makers! There will be free refreshments in stores and food trucks parked on the street. Restaurants will have specials. You can go on a hayride, make some furry friends at the petting zoo. or get your picture taken with Santa. The Extraordinary Rendition Marching Band, Fire jugglers, glass blowers and the Providence Children’s Film Festival will be showing off what they do. The Greg Abate Quartet will be playing jazz from 7-8:30 at the Providence Community Library. It’s the perfect way to start the season and celebrate the wonderful community on “The East Side’s Main Street”!!!!
